FAQ

Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions. Didn’t find yours? Feel free to get in touch!

What are your payment terms?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is payable once the final video or photographs are approved.

How long does it take to deliver the final video/photographs?

Delivery time depends on our agreement—I adapt to your needs and my current availability.

Photography:

  • As agreed, typically within 1–2 weeks

Video:

  • Standard projects: 1–2 weeks
  • More complex videos: 3–4 weeks

Do you offer express delivery?

Express delivery is possible by prior arrangement —please let me know as soon as possible.

Do you offer revisions for the delivered video?

The price includes three rounds of revisions within the original video concept. Additional edits can be arranged upon agreement and for aditional fee.

Can you help me prepare a script or concept? Is that part of the service?

Yes, assistance with concept development is included in the pre-production phase. For more extensive scripts, an additional fee can be arranged, always agreed upon in advance.

How should I prepare for a video or photo shoot?

Preparation depends on the type of project. General recommendations include:

  • Corporate events and conferences: Send me the schedule and key moments.
  • Workshops: Inform participants of my presence in advance.
  • Interviews: Ensure a quiet space with minimal noise and echo.
  • General: Good natural light improves the outcome.
  • Promo videos: Be clear on your goal and target audience.

Don’t worry — I will adapt to the conditions at hand and make sure the result feels authentic and the quality is high. We’ll discuss all key details in advance.

Are you able to use a drone at any location?

I fly in compliance with Czech regulations. Thanks to my small drone (DJI Mini 4 Pro), there are fewer restrictions compared to larger equipment.

In general, filming is possible almost anywhere, but:

  • Flying over gatherings of people (festivals, etc.), highways, railways, protected areas, or airports requires special permission.
  • Permission from the Civil Aviation Authority (ÚCL) usually takes 2–60 days, depending on the risk level of the flight.

I’ll check all possibilities in advance to avoid any surprises.

Do you work outside Prague and Czech Republic?

Yes, I work on projects throughout the Czech Republic and abroad. Travel costs and any accommodation are charged separately, depending on the distance and duration of the project. If you arrange transport or accommodation yourself, these fees are waived, and I will arrive on-site with all necessary equipment.

What are the copyright and licensing terms for videos and photographs?

Final videos and photographs are delivered with a license for commercial use on social media and websites. For broader use (e.g., TV commercials), I can provide a custom extended license.

Do you provide raw, unedited footage and photographs?

Raw, unedited material is not included by default, as the final selection and editing are part of my creative process and ensure consistent quality. If you have a specific reason for receiving raw footage, we can arrange its delivery for an additional fee, reflecting the extended license and copyright. Please note, however, that I reserve the right to withhold this material.

How long do you keep the original footage and photographs?

I archive both raw data and final outputs for several years on a dual backup system. However, once the project is approved, I consider it delivered and cannot guarantee its long-term storage. If you need a reliable backup solution, I can recommend one.

How the Collaboration Works

I approach each project individually and it’s important for me to fully understand your needs. I see pre-production as a key part of the process, but I can also adapt to situations where we need to move faster.

Send me an email with details about your project—ideally including the shooting dates and any other information you already have. Once I’ve reviewed the project, I’ll suggest a short phone call or online meeting to go over everything in more detail.

If we align on both vision and budget, I’ll ask for a 50% deposit of the total fee. After that, I’ll start preparing the different phases of production:

Pre-production

In this phase, I define the video’s goal, write the script, scout locations, select equipment, create the storyboard, propose set design, and handle other organizational tasks to ensure a smooth shoot.

For simpler videos (e.g., YouTube content, recordings, or clearly defined projects), this phase can be very short. For more complex projects (e.g., commercials, music videos), it is often the most important and extensive part of the entire production.

Production

The shooting day (or days) is when we bring to life everything we’ve planned during pre-production. The better the preparation, the smoother the shoot will go and the higher the quality of the final result.

Post-production

I process the footage — editing, color correction, sound design, music, graphics — up to the final output, backup, and delivery of the completed video. The price includes 2–3 rounds of revisions. After the first version is delivered, you have the opportunity to request changes, which will be incorporated into the final version of the video.

Once the video is approved, the remaining balance is due according to the agreed-upon price.
